At Ousia Life, we believe your life's data belongs to you — and only you. This Privacy Policy explains how our apps (Ousia, Enstamp, and Starflow) handle your information. Our products are built on a "Local-First" principle: we do not collect, store, or monetize your personal data.

1. Information We Access

Depending on the app and features you use, we may request access to the following on-device data. None of this data is transmitted to our servers.

Location Data (Ousia, Enstamp, Starflow)

• Ousia & Enstamp: Used to automatically log places you visit and generate your Life Flow timeline and travel fog map. Location data is processed and stored entirely on your device.
• Starflow: Used for compass orientation and calculating directional feng shui data for your current position. Location is accessed only during active compass use.

Health Data (Ousia)

• With your explicit permission, Ousia reads heart rate, sleep, and step data from Apple HealthKit to calculate your Energy Ring status.
• Health data is read-only, processed on-device, and never shared with any third party.
• We comply with Apple's HealthKit guidelines — health data is never used for advertising or sold to data brokers.

Personal Information (Ousia, Starflow)

• Birth date or name entered in Ousia or Starflow is used solely for local Bazi (八字) algorithms and feng shui charting.
• This information is never uploaded to any server.

Photos & Media (Ousia, Enstamp)

• Used to display your photos and videos within your personal timeline. Media files remain on your device or in your private iCloud container.

2. Data Storage & Security

• Local Storage: All data is stored on your physical device using encrypted local databases.
• Cloud Backup: If you enable sync, data is backed up exclusively through your private Apple iCloud container or equivalent platform-specific mechanism. We, as developers, have no access to your iCloud data.
• No Account System: We do not require user registration. There is no username, password, or profile stored on our servers — because we have no user-facing servers.

3. Third-Party Services

Our apps may interact with the following platform services:

• Apple MapKit / Google Maps: Used to display maps and resolve location names. Map queries are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
• Apple HealthKit: Used exclusively for reading health metrics in Ousia (with user consent).
• StoreKit / Google Play Billing: Used for in-app purchases and subscription management.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

4. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

5. International Users

For Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

Since we do not collect or process your personal data on our servers, most GDPR data-processing obligations do not apply. However, you retain full rights over your data:

• Right to Access: All your data is already on your device — you have complete access at all times.
• Right to Deletion: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
• Right to Portability: You can export your data using the app's built-in export features (where available).

For Users in California (CCPA)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes. Since all data is stored locally, we do not collect personal information as defined by the CCPA.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data persists on your device for as long as you use the app.
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.
• To remove iCloud backup data, you can do so through your device's iCloud storage settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or update on our website. Continued use of our apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
